The World of Disney store in Walt Disney World's Downtown Disney is one of the best places to shop for Disney merchandise. In fact, WDW's World of Disney is the largest Disney store in existence. With 12 different rooms, thousands of kinds of merchandise, and its own information desk, shopping at the World of Disney is an experience that every Disney guest should have.
However, how does a guest make sense of it all? It's the world's largest Disney merchandise location. There's so much you can see, and so much you can miss. Whether you are a mom on a mission to grab souvenirs for all of your family, a dad who'd rather be at the resort, or a teen who is burned out and not ready for any more pixie dust, here are 4 things you can’t miss on your next your visit into the store.
1. Pin Trading- If you're a pin trader, or just like to look at the different kinds of pins, this is a great stop to look for pins on Cast Member's lanyards. World of Disney has hundreds of cast members and they trade with thousands of guests each day, so you'll never know what you can find here. There is also pin trading and Vinylamation trading at select times throughout the day.
2. The Bibiddi Bobbidi Boutique- Similar to its counterpart in the Magic Kingdom, the Bibiddi Bobbidi Boutique has Fairy Godmothers In Training who are ready to turn your little girl or little boy into the princess or prince of their dreams. At select times every day, the children who have been transformed also do a mini parade outside of World of Disney, something you can't get in any other location. How cool is it to see your child in their very own parade? But be careful, sometimes the Fairy Godmothers in Training are outside Pixie Dusting guests!
3. The Information Desk- The information desk is a wealth of knowledge that guests often overlook. If you can't find what you need, the information desk can look up the item and tell you where it is. This is useful if you're looking for a specific clothing item in a size that the store doesn't have.
4. The Decorations- This store features 12 different rooms and each are decorated differently. From the Beauty and the Beast themed kitchen area, Cars, Toy Story, and Star Wars themed boys area, the Princess area, and the Snow White themed infant area, each room feels like a different world. On your next trip, see how many different characters you can find in the store, such as Genie or Lumiere. Hint: Don't just look inside the store; see who you can find on the outside!
