Mary Poppins The Musical - Review

A funny thing happened on the way to Broadway. Let's start with how this all happened first. Disney had a special ticket offer buy 1 ticket and get the second for $15.00. Since this was a great deal I could not pass this by, so I bought my mother a early birthday gift (Happy Birthday Mom), and took my kids as well.
Now onto the review, now I'm NOT a broadway review writer by trade. This is Just my opinion and is not meant to offend. I have been to Broadway shows in the past. This production is conducted in the New Amsterdam Theatre and this theatre is absolutely breathe taking. If you would like to read more about the theatre I have listed below 2 place you can read about the history and get all sorts of details.

I don't want to spoil all the fun but I will tell you that Disney brought some of their own Disney magic to Broadway. As you can imagine yes Mary flies and I will leave it at that. There are some other fun surprises in the show.
This show is absolutely fro everyone one in the family and kids of all ages. We went to a friday night show and the palace was packed and there we kids and adults in the audience.
We had great seats we were luck to be sitting in the 9th row, almost dead center. We could see every express on the actors faces. These seats were well worth the discounted price. If you want great tickets you really need to book in advance like anything Disney offers.
We had 2 NYC bonuses while attending this show. Bonus number 1 came as we were exiting the New Amsterdam Theater, we bumped into Richard Kind who became famous in Spin City for playing Paul Lassiter. If you need a Disney Reference he was the Van in the movie Cars. Bonus 2 came on the walk back to the car outside the Guys and Dolls theater Oliver Platt was out there taking pictures and signing autographs. Oliver was best know for playing Oliver Babish in West Wing.
Overall this is a must see show !!! Bring the entire family for a complete night out. You will be singing your way home as most people were doing. The cast, the production, the music really makes this a complete broadway productions.
