Running Disneyland’s steam engines

t takes more than the push of a button at Disneyland to run the steam engines on the narrow gauge Disneyland Railroad. Because they are authentic steam-powered locomotives, it takes a fireman and an engineer.
The conductor of the train may tell them when to go and stop, but the pair working in the cabs have to manually keep the steam boiling and the engines operating smoothly.

Disney Store transformation set to debut

There will be a winding path — much like a yellow brick road — made out of wood, leading you into a new world populated with a gazebo, a giant rocket ship, faux trees and a mirror, mirror on the wall that is apt to come to life as you walk by.

There will be projected animated images that change periodically, much like Animator’s Pallet on the Disney Cruise Line’s ships. There will be enough sights, sounds and smells to make every visit different and unique.

Recap of Our First Meet-Up at the Disneyland Resort

This past Thursday night we held our first meet-up at the Disneyland Resort offering an after-hours experience themed after Toy Story Mania! Fans lined up early, and not even an unusual light drizzle could dampen their spirits. Upon checking in each of the attendees received a goody bag with some Toy Story Mania! treats and the rare Disney Parks Blog pin.
