It seems like just yesterday when Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck helped us celebrate the groundbreaking for Summerhouse, our clubhouse at Golden Oak. Now fast-forward about a year to another exciting milestone, the official partial opening of this beautiful and meticulously built community hub!

Golden Oak residents and their guests have already begun to enjoy some of the key amenities of Summerhouse – like its lap and family pool, family room with game area and state-of-the-art fitness facilities. Other amenities such as the private lounge and restaurant are set to open later this year.

Centrally located on approximately 5 acres, Summerhouse makes a striking impression with its Tuscan farmhouse design theme. A Mediterranean color palette and building materials – such as natural stone, plaster, heavy timbers, artisanal tiles and reclaimed old bricks – are warm, welcoming, and true to the architectural influences of the community.

Inside the well-appointed clubhouse, the main dining room will be crowned with an Old World-style bell tower; nearby will be a lounge, private dining room, custom-built wine cooler and locker space for spirits. The demonstration kitchen will be outfitted for chef-helmed cooking events, while the inviting family room with large TV screen offers a comfortable place for gaming and hanging out. Alongside the fitness facilities, with private training area and locker rooms, is an outdoor lawn for fitness activities.

The Golden Oak Resident Services desk is conveniently located inside Summerhouse. Members of our Resident Services team, who bring the Disney guest service culture directly to residents and their guests, are available to help arrange personal, residential and resort requests.

Emphasizing the outdoor living experience so intrinsic to life at Golden Oak, Summerhouse effortlessly melds inside with outside, day into night. A center courtyard, with fountain and trellised brick walkways, leads to the heated pool, function lawn, fire pit, al fresco dining and more.

Along with an inspired calendar of events for children and adults – such as culinary adventures and special themed and seasonal activities – Summerhouse will soon bring a special kind of magic to Golden Oak.
