REVIEW: WDW Magazine Calendar
I am always looking for ways to bring a little extra Disney into my daily life. Today, I'll be sharing with you my thoughts on a product that does just that - the WDW Magazine 2015 Calendar.
Brought to us by the people at WDW Magazine, the calendar features artwork and photographs from Disney Photo Snapper, Disney Image Makers, Laurie Sapp Photography, and more. Each month features a different photo or piece of Disney-inspired artwork, and includes tips for traveling to Walt Disney World. For example, on the May 2015 page it gives information on the Electrical Water Pageant and Star Wars Weekends. The calendar also lists some important days in Disney World history, such as the opening of the parks and major attractions.
Upon getting my calendar in the mail, I was immediately impressed. It's a very professional AND beautiful calendar of a very high quality. The images are crisp and gorgeous, and seem to fly off the page. This is a calendar you won't want to throw away when 2015 is done - I am planning on taking some of the images and framing them in my home office!
My personal favorite month is October 2015 - Cinderella's Castle in the background, with bright Walt Disney World balloons in the foreground - an incredibly gorgeous photograph from Disney Photo Snapper. Well done!
The calendar also appeals to me because it's Disney without being "cartoony". I enjoy (and have bought) the Disney calendars that primarily feature the animated characters and I do love those - but this calendar appeals much more to the adult Disney fan. It's something you could display in a professional setting, such as your office, classroom, etc. Disney hasn't put out a calendar that appeals to the "young at heart" fan and so this really fills that void.
I was initially a bit concerned with the "slick" feel of the calendar pages, as I thought that would make it hard to write information on the dates. I did what I call the "swipe test" - I wrote a note on a particular date, with a regular ballpoint pen, and about a minute later I swiped my fingers over it to see if the ink ran. It did just a touch, but didn't smear like some slicker pages will do. I was happy to see this.
The calendar is the *perfect* holiday gift for the Disney fan(s) in your life! In my opinion, it's a complete steal at $19.95 each; click the photo below to get yours today before they run out!
* I was provided with a complimentary calendar for my review. All opinions in the above article are my own.
