Disney iPhone Applications and Games

I thought I would do a little review
of some of the Disney iPhone application and games that are out
there. This will give you some awareness of the apps and games that
are out there and how useful I think they are. I will link to the
sites but don't forget that all these are available on iTunes for
purchase and download.
I will use a 5 star scale for this review 5 stars being the best and 1 being the worst.
Mini guides (4 stars)
These are great little pocket maps. No more need to carry a paper map with these little electronic version of each park map plus they have a map for all of the Downtown area as well. If you are interested they also have a seaworld map. Each map has all the attractions, restrooms, and dinning locations on them and you can hide them all or show what you need to find. They have description for each of the attractions too. You can also use the built in GPS to show where you are in the park. I used these a little the last time I was in the parks, and they are handy to have., when you are looking for a short cut though the parks. The maps have a search feature. Visit UPinPoint.com

This is a great little set of kids cards games. These are fun for kids and adults alike that are looking to pass the time with some card games. The Fab five are all here. Each house has a themed game to play. You can only get this from iTunes, the Disney.mobile website did not have t for download.

WDW Dinning Disney (3 Stars)
I just found this app recently. If you are a last minute dinner and really don't make ADR's then this may be for you. if you like to plan your Disney Dinning this may be for you as well. You see a restaurant down the way but are not sure if they would have what you are in the mood for or if it is in your price range. Maybe you are waiting in a ride line and you would like to plan what food you will order at your next meal.
With WDW Dining, you can look up over 150 restaurants in Walt Disney World including descriptions, full menus, and location information. This application also has the menus, that is a large task to keep updating.As new restaurants are added to Disney World and menus change, we will have regular app updates. Visit Versa Edge thare are more screen shots there too.

Walt Disney World Secret Notecast (2 Stars)
I have to say I don't use this much and I have not seen an update for this application in a very long time. I would call this a book more then a apllication. Walt Disney World Resort is filled with secrets and surprises, and the new "Walt Disney World Secrets" Notescast reveals over 180 fun and magical secrets for you to discover and enjoy in a tour throughout Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney's Animal Kingdom and Disney's Hollywood Studios.
Developed using Disney's "Guidelines for Guidebook Media", the new "Walt Disney World Secrets" Notescast installs to the Notes feature of your iPod and is arranged as a tour through all four theme parks using your iPod Classic or nano as your personal tour guide.
You'll scroll through each tour as you wind your way through the parks, moving from one new moment of discover to the next. It's an entire day's worth of fun for the whole family, and it's an all new way to experience Walt Disney World!

Disneyland Resort® Times Guide (3 stars)
I can this being useful for a while but if the Mini guide built in this time info this application would be useless. I guess this would be good if you were in the park and wanted ot know what time a show or parade starts.
The schedules for Disneyland® Park, Disney's California Adventure® Park and the Downtown Disney® District are all at your fingertips.
Tap the icon, and immediately, you'll see the park hours, entertainment schedules, parade times, attraction closures, special events for today at the Disneyland Resort® in California. Scan through upcoming days, or jump to any date to see what's coming.
No more searching for paper or wondering if you have the most up to date information. Jump to any available date quickly. No messing around with websites that weren't designed with mobile use in mind. Never wonder when the 3 o'clock parade is.
Look for times guides for Walt Disney World® and other attractions coming soon from Electrollama Productions. (At this time their website was having some issues)

This is the most complete application for either Disneyland or Walt Disney World. This app really has it mosr of what you will need. It also cost more then the rest a t $2.99.
